Dinner with David and Candi...whose idea was it again that it's my birthday??? Ahhh good times!!!

Hey...where's Waldo?
Hold on, let me pose for the camera! A dozen or so monkeys in your backyard...something we don't see back home!We awoke 14 hours later…2pm local time…yikes!!! The weather outside was already scorching and humid. After breakfast, Maddie and I went for a quick dip to cool off before Robyn (our South African social worker) came to visit to discuss our trip to Matatiele. We later settled outside with some cocktails and enjoyed the early evening catching up with Janet and David.
We headed out for a lovely dinner at Primi Pollo in Hillcrest…and to my surprise, I had an early birthday serenade from the wait staff…ahhh to turn 21 again (for the 16 time)! At dinner, we had our first taste of a full on Kwazulu Natal summer thunder storm and down pour. It definitely helped relieve the humidity and cool down the night air. Thanks Janet, David and Candi for the great dinner.
Tomorrow is another momentous day for our family as we will be travelling to Matatiele in Eastern Cape to meet our son, Siyabonga. We will be leaving at 6am on a 4 hour drive to Matatiele. We will start out heading south west along the coast and then turn north at Port Shepstone towards Matatiele.
We are truly excited to hold our dear Siyabonga for the first time and the morning can’t come fast enough. We’re off to pack the essentials for tomorrow’s trip and get some shut eye…if we can!
