On December 11th, 2008 we received the phone that we had been waiting for. It was the best Christmas present ever! Our son, Siyabonga Nxele, was born on October 31, 2007 in Johannesburg, South Africa and is living at the Crossroads Children's Home in Matatiele.
We leave for S.A. in 4 days (Jan. 7th) and will finally get to meet him on Saturday, January 10th. We cannot wait for the day when we get to hold our son for the first time. Maddie is also very excited about meeting her baby "brudder" and keeps reminding us that "it's after Christmas...time to go get baby Desi." She is eager to be a big sister and has an "I'm the big sister" shirt already picked out for when she meets her little brother.
